Another great little device designed by us. We have always prefer to use transom mounted water pick-ups over rudder pick-ups for our sport / performance series of Enforcer boats. This is because when using a rudder pick-up on a boat with a clutch, it is too easy to putt up to shore and suck-up the nasty mud and debris from the bottom. This clogs pump, water lines, water-jackets, exhausts, and causes engine damage. We designed this small but effective transom mounted pick-up to limit this from happening. Our pick-up is tiny in size and precision machined. The 3/16″ brass water tube is adjustable up and down, so only 1/8″ maximum can be placed below the water line, and in many cases that is not necessary. You see water that breaks aft of the transom does so at an upward angle, so as long as the angled end is facing the water there is enough water breaking past to feed the water pick-up with more than enough water pressure. So now or the next time you are in the market for a water pick-up disregard anything you may of heard or thought indifferent about transom mounted water pick-ups, and keep in mind that Enforcer sells and uses them on the majority of all the boats manufactured since 1990, and that’s allot of water pick-ups.
