The SILEX includes a special option fiberglass radio box that fits and covers the rear of the hull aft the 1/2 racing hatch cover. The radio box is incorporated in a fiberglass plate that secures between the two molded in rails bellow the deck. The R-box features molded rails that secure a pre-cut (or blank) .125 ABS servo tray that enables a 1/4 servo to stand up right, so mounting and adjusting the radio system is a breeze, no more side mounted servos that are such a pain to mount and adjust. The complete fiberglass tray and box can be removed as a whole in seconds if necessary for hardware of shaft access, or another can be in place and reconnected in a couple minutes if a radio switch is necessary.
